We specialize in equipping learners with strategic messaging tools that allows them to develop the ability to communicate with others effectively and forge better relationships through mutual understanding. Our approach to developing better communicators provides learners with a set of tools that makes it possible to productively communicate with anyone.

Strategy

The key to communicating effectively and productively in any given situation is understanding the communication barriers at play and the behaviors that accompany them. Our goal is to equip you with the ability to interpret what certain behaviors mean and how to develop a strategy that specifically targets the communication barrier causing the behavior.

Language

The most effective tools for addressing any communication barrier can be derived from the old adage: It’s not what you say but how you say it. We teach people specific language techniques that allows them to productively communicate with anyone. Our approach is to equip you with a tool box of “what to say” and the manual for “how to say it.”

Experience

All people have the desire to effectively connect with others, especially those with different worldviews. Our goal is to equip you with tools that are actually effective and applicable in real life, with real people. We will provide you with the right language tools and teach you how to use them, but more importantly you will learn how to maximize on the best opportunities and set of circumstances for putting them into practice.

Meet Brandon Colbert

Brandon Colbert is a communications expert trained in facilitation, diversity, and interpersonal dialogue and is certified in Talent Development from the Association of Talent Development. Brandon has over 15 years of experience in Learning and Development Training, Diversity and Inclusion training, and leading and designing educational programs.

After several years of contract training, Brandon started his own company Brandon Colbert Solutions with the mission of providing clients with the tools they need to be successful when it comes to leading, communicating, managing and interacting with others to achieve their desired outcomes.

Brandon was awarded the Patricia Gurrin Award for his work in Intergroup Dialogue at The University of Michigan. Brandon also served as a Program Manager with the Youth Dialogues Program on Race and Ethnicity in Metro Detroit with the University of Michigan. Brandon was also nominated for 2022 Best Presenter at the ATD Virtual Learners Conference.

Brandon currently teaches a variety of professional development and soft skills courses as well as courses in the areas of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Brandon is the creator and host of the Say This podcast. The podcast provides listeners with communication tools that effectively deal with challenging human behaviors.

He was born and raised in Grand Rapids, MI where he currently resides. Brandon has a sociology degree from the University of Michigan.
